Special Rally! Sponsored by SEIU 790 | City of Berkeley & other public employees | Sponsored by Democratic Socialists of America Wed 7:30-9 AM | Th 4:30-6 PM | Sat 1-2:30 PM Where: Parker & Shattuck, Berkeley What's New: Saturday's event with the Liberation Brass Band was great. After marching in front of the dealership for about 45 minutes while playing -- and they played wonderfully -- the band led us up Shattuck Ave. into the downtown area. On the way to the BART station, we passed out leaflets and ducked into the Shattuck Ave. businesses to ask them to display our poster -- which many of them did. Then we stopped in front of the station, where the band played a few more numbers. It was over too soon. A very Berkeley event, and one that we'll try to repeat before long.
